The Annual General Meeting was held on the 10th of November, 2024. A big thank you to all that came along to the meeting, working bee and produce swap.
Our new committee members for 2024/2025 were elected unopposed as follows
President: Lynda Giles-Holmes
Secretary: Margaret Dalton
Treasurer: Brian Dalton
Committee Members: John Philipson, Chris Schlaghecke

We had our Open Garden Event at our Community Garden on the 17th of November organised by My Smart Garden. We thank all that braved the very windy weather to come and view the garden. Additionally, we had our annual Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser.
Thank you again to the Committee and all the community members who engage with our Community Garden.

I was reading the recent update from the Altona Community Gardens Inc. and it struck me how community projects face growth pains just like individuals do facing pressure, needing support, and finding their way. It reminded me of the dilemma many job‑seekers feel when they think they might hire a professional resume writer as a shortcut. The pull is real: someone else might help ease the load. But just like a garden nurtured by many hands grows stronger, so too does one’s career when you stay engaged in its growth.
I read the Altona Community Gardens update and loved how it showed growth, teamwork, and adapting to change in a community setting. It made me think about those moments when MBA workload feels overwhelming, and the thought of pay someone to do my MBA exam pops up not as a shortcut, but as a way to manage pressure and stay on track while handling multiple responsibilities.
